Product Overview
The DM240001-3 is an explorer 16/32 development kit. It is a flexible, convenient and ready to start development, demonstration and testing platform for 16bit PIC24 MCUs, dsPIC DSCs and 32bit PIC32 MCUs. The explorer 16/32 development board supports a wide variety of processor plug-in module (PIM) boards, enabling easy evaluation and development with a specific microcontroller family. Additional hardware functionality can also be added to the board through the use of accessory/expansion boards connecting through mikroBUS and PICtail Plus interfaces. The board also features all the necessary hardware to begin developing and debugging a complete embedded application. Coupled with integrated PICkit-on-board (PKOB), MPLAB ICD 3 in-circuit debugger or MPLAB REAL ICE real time emulation and debug facilities enable faster evaluation and prototyping of application. Explorer 16/32 development board offers only main board, giving option to customize other necessary components.
- 100 pin PIM socket supporting a wide variety of 16bit and 32bit PIC MCUs and dsPIC DSCs
- USB power through PICkit-on-board (PKOB), USB type-C or USB serial converter
- 9V to 15V DC power supply
- Onboard USB to UART/I2C adapter for data exchange with PC/Mac/Linux based host
- USB type-C (host/device) and type-A (host) support for applications using USB microcontroller
- Hardware functionality extension by attaching accessory boards
- Alpha numeric 16 x 2 LCD display, 8 x user LEDs, 4 x push buttons, 10K potentiometer
- Microchip's TC1047A high accuracy, analogue output temperature sensor
- Integrated USB programmer/debugger (PICkit-on-board (PKOB))
- Interfaces to MPLAB ICD 3, MPLAB REAL ICE and PICkit 3
