This unit allows 4 pairs of speakers and a pair of headphones to be connected to a single stereo amplifier. The operational loudspeakers are then selected in pairs by means of four front panel switches. The headphone socket is parallel wired and does not mute the speakers when in use. The unit protects the amplifier by ensuring that the load presented does not fall to less than half the loudspeaker in use.

Care is needed when using bare ended speaker wire. To avoid possible short circuits, strip speaker wire no more than 6mm (¼"). Unit no longer mutes speakers when headphones are connected.
