The MAX4204ESA+ is an ultra high-speed, low noise, open loop buffer in 8 pin NSOIC package. This low power dual buffer has high slew rate, high output current and excellent capacitive load driving capability. It has an integrated 50 ohm termination resistor making it ideal for driving 50 ohm transmission lines. It uses a proprietary architecture to achieve up to 720MHz -3dB bandwidth, 230MHz 0.1dB gain flatness and 4200V/µs slew rate. The low-noise performance makes this buffer suitable for driving high-speed analogue to digital converter (ADC) inputs. This device is used in high-speed DAC buffers, high-speed ADC input buffers, digital transmission line drivers and wireless LANs.
- Supply voltage range is ±4V to ±5.5V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Quiescent supply current is 2.2mA
- Bandwidth for 0.1dB gain flatness is 50MHz
- Low current-noise density of 0.8pA/√Hz
- Excellent capacitive-load-driving capability
- Power supply rejection is 72dB
- Differential gain error of 1.3% at RL = 150 ohm
- Differential phase error of 0.15° at RL = 150 ohm
