AD3552R is a low drift, dual channel, ultra-fast, 16bit accuracy, current output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) that can be configured in multiple voltage span ranges. This operates with a fixed 2.5V reference. Each DAC incorporates three drift compensating feedback resistors for the required external transimpedance amplifier (TIA) that scales the output voltage. Offset and gain scaling registers allow for generation of multiple output span ranges and custom intermediate ranges with full 16bit resolution. The DAC can operate in fast mode for maximum speed or precision mode for maximum accuracy. Application includes instrumentation, hardware in the loop, process control equipment, medical devices, automated test equipment, data acquisition system, programmable voltage sources, and optical communications.
- Resolution is 16bits (min, AVDD = 5.0V ± 5%, DVDD = 1.8V ± 5%<lt/>, -40°C ≤ TA ≤ +105°C)
- 33 MUPS rate in fast mode, 22 MUPS rate in precision mode
- Output voltage settling time is 65ns (typ, 60mV step, 0.1% error, 0V to 5V range)
- Ultra small glitch is <lt/> 50pV×s, ultra low latency is 5ns
- Total harmonic distortion (THD) is -105dB (typ, 0V to 5V range, fOUT = 1KHz)
- Highly configurable output voltage span and offset
- 1.2V and 1.8V logic level compatible range
- Single (classic), dual, and quad SPI modes
- Multiple error detectors, both analogue and digital domains
- 32-lead LFCSP package, temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
