Microchip SAM-IoT Wx v2 Development Board for IoT Prototyping

The Microchip SAM-IoT Wx v2 Development Board is a compact, flexible platform designed for rapid prototyping and evaluation of cloud-connected IoT applications. Built around the ATSAMD21G18 Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller, the board integrates the ATWINC1510 Wi-Fi® module and ATECC608B secure element, enabling secure, wireless communication with a wide range of cloud service providers.

The board includes onboard light and temperature sensors, which the MCU reads and sends to the cloud using a pre-programmed demonstration application. Sensor data is published every second and can be accessed via a virtual serial port, allowing real-time visualization in a terminal application. The ATWINC1510 Wi-Fi module connects to any Internet-enabled network, while the ATECC608B secure element authenticates the board to uniquely identify it for secure cloud interactions.

Designed for ease of use and customization, the development kit allows engineers to modify the demonstration application to send data to personal cloud accounts or integrate with custom IoT platforms.
